Jack Warne becomes Head of Training

Jack Warne joined Optix Solutions at the start of 2020 as Digital Marketing Manager and from the very start took a keen interest in the Optix Digital Academy. Jack has a background in teaching having spent over 3 years as an English instructor, working in English conversation schools in Japan. On his return from Japan, Jack completed an MSc in Marketing at the University of Exeter, and his career in Digital Marketing began.  Since then, he has been working as a Digital Marketer in Exeter, developing his skills across a range of disciplines, including SEO, PPC, Email Marketing, Paid and Organic Social Media, and more.

When we were hit by the pandemic last year, Jack was quick to step up and get to work implementing an entirely new service that Optix Solutions now offers. Jack spent a huge chunk of 2020 working with Optix Director James Dawkins to produce and film video content which has formed the Online offering from the Optix Digital Academy. Jack and James have spent hours, days, weeks, and months filming hundreds of videos which are now being released as online courses, with 7 currently for sale. These video courses are entirely online with each one being designed around a core principle of Digital Marketing. Each course offers practical and actionable advice for any business to implement digital marketing solutions.

Not only has Jack been instrumental in creating online courses, but he also delivers in-person, live training, taking over responsibility for delivering the Optix Digital Academy Live sessions. He delivers all in-person bespoke training for businesses who need a tailor-made training experience built for their business’ needs.

Jack has worked closely as well with Becky Brennan who in her previous role as Head of Learning and Business Success was responsible for the Optix Academy and together they delivered a new Optix Digital Academy website in December 2020, and completed the Academy’s first year in operation.

With the recent announcement that Becky has been promoted to Account Director, this now means that Jack will be taking on more responsibilities for the Optix Academy, with the title of Digital Marketing Manager and Head of Training.

Having Jack as Optix’s Head of Training allows Optix Solutions to confidently promote training services across the South West with a dedicated trainer within the business. This year, Optix Solutions has already seen an increase in demand for training as well as an extremely exciting upcoming collaboration with the University of Exeter, which we’ll be sharing more on closer to the time – watch this space.

Jack will continue to work on client accounts to deliver digital marketing to ensure that his skillset stays sharp and relevant. His expert knowledge in a wide variety of core digital marketing disciplines, his continued work as a Digital Marketing Manager and his background in instructional training has made him the perfect person to support clients as Head of Training to help them develop their in-house digital marketing expertise.
