The last year has given us some real time and space to think about how we’re structured as a business, and we’re excited to reveal that we’re making some changes! As you know, Rob became Managing Director last year which completed the Board and Executive team, so we moved to look next at our client team. We want to give our clients the best support when they work with us, and help them get the most out of us, so we’re introducing a new position in the form of Account Director, which will be filled by Becky Brennan.
This position is going to allow the team delivering the tactical work and day to day activity to focus even more time on getting those results, whilst Becky will step in to look after the relationship with key clients and work with the team to challenge and grow accounts. We’re excited to see what Becky will be able to achieve with this role, and what the extra pair of eyes will bring to our client delivery. As clients, you’ll see new ideas and strategic conversation coming your way, as well as a continuation of the fantastic activity our teams already carry out each month for you.
You’ll still see Becky in pitch environments as she has a good level of client experience and understanding of translating clients’ needs into service deliverables, however with Chris on board now as our Business Development Manager, most new business activity will sit with him. Becky will also maintain strategic oversight of the Optix Digital Academy, so you might see her there every now and then too, alongside Jack Warne who is taking up the Head of Training position.
This year brings a lot of hope for us as a business, having battled against 2020 (didn’t we all!), and we’re excited to see how we can innovate and grow as a business in 2021, starting with this new role and changes in the client delivery team. A big congratulations to Becky on her promotion, and we hope you all look forward to meeting Becky in her new capacity very soon.
Rob’s take on the new role:
How our clients feel about us and the performance that we deliver are of huge importance to us all here at Optix, so it’s right that we recognise this with a dedicated position to focus in on the details of delivery and optimisation. With Becky as our new Account Director, we will be there to strengthen our relationships and ensure we continue to delight, support and engage with our clients.
Here’s what James has to say:
Over the time Becky has been with Optix she has continued to impress both the team and our clients. She has played such an important part in helping us navigate these tough times and it is so exciting to see her move into a role where she can continue to support and delight our clients. It is an honor to have her as part of the Optix family and look forward to seeing her continue to develop both herself and our business in the future.
Becky has been such as unbelievable asset for the company in the short time she’s been with us. Seeing her growth in the last 18 months has been so pleasing, especially at such a tough time for us all. I’ve worked closely with her on everything from pitches to key account meetings and she’s so impressive its almost scary. It’s time for her to fly the nest now and look after some of our biggest clients on her own. I don’t need to wish her luck as I know she’ll exceed our expectations and possibly even her own.
