I’m so excited to be joining Optix as a Digital Marketing Manager – I’ve always regarded the agency so highly and they have a fantastic reputation. There’s a great, people-first vibe in the office too, and the team (and their dogs) have all been very welcoming!
After gaining my undergraduate degree in Journalism, I knew that marketing was the career I wanted to pursue, so I decided to further my knowledge by studying for a Master’s in Public Relations. I’ve worked in digital marketing ever since (I can’t quite believe it’s been 9 years already) and, during that time, I’ve developed several specialist skills including content writing, advertising, and social media management. I’ve worked for a variety of global, national and local brands, supporting those in the charity, education, travel and tourism, and public services sectors. I also have an invested interest in media psychology and the ‘art of influencing consumer behaviour’. Did you know that consumers often associate the colour orange as being ‘aggressive’, whereas purple can portray a brand as being ‘calm’?
Digital is my passion, and I’m looking forward to working on a range of projects for Optix’s impressive array of clients. The role is the perfect blend of creativity and strategy, which will enable me to develop integrated campaigns that drive tangible results, as well as building the agency’s online presence. I’m also keen to explore how we can incorporate Digital PR into the agency, working closely with the team to see how we can expand our knowledge and client offering.
I’m extremely proud to be working at Optix – not only are they a leading agency, but they genuinely care about the well-being of their team. I can already tell this has been a very positive career move and I can’t wait to see where this next step takes me.
