Optix Solutions Digital Seminar 2019

Our annual Digital Marketing seminar took place on the 28th of February at the beautiful Deer Park country house in Honiton. We had 116 attendees from a wide range of businesses in the south west and beyond who joined us to learn more about the biggest digital marketing trends of 2019.

Our Client Relationship Manager Curt Lewis organised the event and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Presentations & Workshops

At the event we heard from James Poulter of Vixen Labs who was previously the Head of The LEGO Group’s Emerging Platforms & Partnerships team. James explained how technologies such as Voice will change the digital world.

Next up were our workshops:

Crystal Carter – Digital Strategist at Optix Solutions.

Crystal talked about C.R.A.F.T of Mobile Readiness. With more than 60% of users accessing the internet through mobile devices, mobile friendliness is more important than ever before.

Katharine Bourke – Director at South West Growth Service

With over 30 years experience in business development Katharine had a lot of insight into the softer side of communications thinking. She spoke about our multiple intelligences and what they bring to a communications Strategy.

Sharon Sandercock – Marketing & Communications Manager at Isles of Scilly Steamship Group

Sharon has made digital marketing a central part of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group’s marketing Strategy. She spoke about the challenges she has faced over the last 5 years and how she has used technology and processes to overcome these.

Our Director Alastair closed up the event by talking about the biggest digital trends for 2019 and a look back as his predictions for 2018.

Alastair spoke about the importance of Digital Strategy, content marketing in 2019, the importance of personal branding and our top tools.
