Creating Positive Change: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022

Optix Solutions has always been a forward-thinking and supportive environment. We are proud of our achievements. However, we are always looking to improve and learn. This is especially true regarding our commitments to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), as these topics must be approached with constant learning and evolution.

Issues surrounding EDI must be approached on a broad company level and on an individual basis with every member of our team and client we interact with, as no two persons’ differences are precisely the same.

EDI is at the heart of our business and how we recruit, train and develop our team. We live in and support a diverse society, and therefore, we want Optix to reflect the communities and people we serve. Our aim is to improve equality, diversity and inclusion across our business and lead the way, influencing positive change across the wider agency community.

We have set our objectives of how we are going to achieve this in our new EDI Strategy. The objectives are as follows:

Objective 1

Taking an active effort to understand the diverse nature of our employees and clients. Ensuring that these differences within our team are recognised and catered for to ensure that everyone is able to work at their full potential.

Objective 2

Work to raise awareness across both our wider industry and the team regarding EDI. Including the delivery of internal training and communications to our whole team that supports EDI.

Objective 3

Promote the reduction of the stigmas attached to talking about mental health with the aim of creating a ‘mentally healthy ’work environment.

Objective 4

Zero tolerance for bullying, harassment and discrimination.

Objective 5

Ensure that our recruitment practices are inclusive and advance equality of opportunity.

We hope that in continuing to implement this strategy, our team will continue to become more diverse to better represent society as a whole, and each member of our team will feel valued and supported to work at their full capacity.
