One piece of marketing that has caught our eye recently is a viral video of a very special bus shelter, courtesy of Qualcomm. Released in conjunction with their One smartphone, the company is touting it as the “best bus stop ever” and they may just be right.
LA commuters waiting for the bus were encouraged to connect to a URL on the bus shelter. Depending on what the question was that encouraged the link to be followed a different form of transportation would show up, including a Lamborghini and a dog sled.
Last year saw the worldwide smartphone user base reach 1 billion for the first time, meaning that on average 1 in 7 people have the potential to be reached by mobile marketing. How are you reaching these users?
