Spark TSL - Creative Brand Refresh

Spark TSL has developed pioneering technology that provides WiFi solutions to a range of commercial venues. Their largest sector is healthcare, and they’re on a mission to improve the patient experience with better access to online entertainment during hospital stays. As anyone who’s had a stint in hospital knows, the central WiFi is usually too burdened to allow multiple people to stream content and access other entertainment services, and Spark TSL solves this problem. This is so much more than a business to them - their plan is also to campaign for the technology to be free for patients.
Spark TSL was previously ‘WifiSpark’. A series of acquisitions inevitably led to a need for an updated logo and brand assets. They needed a review, refresh and formalisation of current assets, and the development of a new logo to showcase their new, more technology-led name, ‘Spark TSL’. The rebrand needed to be rolled out and communicated in a consistent and organised way, and with a new website due to be launched soon, time was of the essence.
They were impressed by our depth and breadth of expertise across branding and digital marketing, and were particularly attracted to our collaborative approach. Our philosophy is to bring the client into the creative journey, showing them the inner workings of our processes and sharing designs and ideas along the way. This collaborative, transparent approach is something that is very important to us at Optix - we have seen firsthand not just how it leads to a more trusted relationship with clients, but also how it propels the results we achieve together to new heights.
We worked with Spark TSL’s leadership and in-house design team to establish and clarify the brief. We talked with them in depth to fully understand their current pain points, along with what they needed their new logo and asset suite to achieve. Led by our Director of Design, Paul Lawrence, our Creative team got to work, keeping the client closely consulted at every stage.
Thanks to this open and transparent teamwork and communication, the project ran flawlessly, and the client was very happy to sign off on our final design. We then developed an infrastructure of assets to support the new branding, including a full suite of brand and logo assets, a hero image and a comprehensive Brand Usage Guide.
Spark TSL is delighted with its bold and fresh look. The team are getting ready to launch their new website, confident that they have the visual identity they need to support them in the next stages of their mission.
