Capture24In the current economic environment it is not just the private sector that can benefit from quicker, more responsive websites and smarter use of online marketing techniques. Optix Solutions were delighted to be commissioned by the Devon and Cornwall Probation Trust to design a new website that not only showcases and explains the organisation’s important role, but also enabled it to keep the public and other organisations up to date with its work within the rapidly evolving criminal justice system. The new website is easy to navigate and its new Content Management System (CMS), handcrafted by Optix experts Richard Moore and Tom Fletcher-Jones, enables Trust staff to keep their audience up-to-date on the challenging and inspiring day-to-day work of the organisation. The website also incorporates the Trust’s own YouTube channel and Twitter feed, and is designed for desktop and mobile, seamlessly resizing to fit tablet and smartphone screens. Public sector organisations have often lagged behind when it comes to making the most of the latest online technology, and at a time when it is more important than ever for public services to effectively communicate what they do with taxpayers money both the Trust and Optix hope the new site can be a benchmark for the sector.
