The Devon Air Ambulance Trust need your support!

Posted by Lisa Watson on September 27th 2012 in News

Throughout 2012 our client Devon Air Ambulance Trust has been driving forward a series of events to raise awareness of the charity and boost their fundraising activity. Recently, they successfully celebrated their 20th birthday at Darts Farm, which boasted an array of entertainment that included emergency demonstrations, helicopters flying in, live bands that included the likes of ‘The Voice’ quarter finalist Adam Isaac, the most amazing fireworks (sponsored by us here at Optix Solutions) and much, much more. As part of the day, Optix Solutions also ran a video competition where participants recorded birthday messages for Devon Air Ambulance for the chance to win an iPod Nano. We were delighted at the response we had, with some individual’s making a fantastic effort to sing their way through the entire clip. Congratulations to the winners Nicole & Annie Beaumont who had over 400 views for their video (Click here to watch). The Devon Air Ambulance relies heavily on the help of others to raise enough money to keep their two emergency helicopters airborne. With a target of approximately £4.5 million that needs to be raised every year, you have to agree they have a mammoth task on their hands; especially since their funding relies solely on voluntary donations and fundraising. The next event that is taking place to raise funding for the trust is the ‘Masquerade Charity Ball’ that will take place on Friday the 19th October 2012. This is set to be a fabulous evening that will include a 3-course dinner, auction, raffle, and dancing throughout the night to 9-piece band, Dodgey Practice. At £40 this event is definitely not one to miss out on. Book your tickets by calling Amanda on 07971 460431 or by emailing her at amandawrefordbrown@hotmail.co.uk.
