Back in 1999
, two restless Exeter University students keen to make their mark on the world were plotting the early course of Optix Solutions, the company they started to fill a gap they had identified in the website design and internet services market.
These twenty-something entrepreneurs, James Dawkins and Alastair Banks, had both seen the potential for a business that not only produced eye-catching and user-friendly websites for business, but went a step further by harnessing the potential of rapidly evolving web-based technology to establish long-term, innovative, flexible and evolving partnerships with their clients.
This emphasis on consultancy allied to a commitment to develop an in-depth knowledge of their clients’ businesses marked Optix out from the scores of ‘love you and leave you’ web design companies that sprang up around the Dot Com Bubble of the start of the 2000's.
Rather than falling by the wayside when that Bubble burst, Optix’s approach enabled it to continue to grow, and it has now assembled a creative and expert team to cover every aspect of online design and marketing.
