Searching for a new or better job online can be a frustrating experience, but perhaps no longer if you live in or around Exeter.
There are scores of job and recruitment websites out there, often featuring the same jobs from the same large faceless recruitment agencies.
You may be able to refine your search to the type of job that you are looking for and a geographical area of the country, but say you are a digital marketing specialist looking for vacancies in Exeter, the chances are you’ll still get sent details of direct marketing jobs in Bristol and Bath.
Even the local newspaper’s online jobs search service is just part of a much larger national recruitment site.
In view of this, Optix Solutions have recently launched YourJobsboard Exeter; a pilot that it is hoped will provide a template to be rolled out elsewhere in the country.
The essence is very simple. When we say a ‘local’ Jobsboard we really do mean local, featuring either only jobs in Exeter itself or the surrounding areas, whichever option you chose.
Devon and Exeter-based recruiters can use the board to post 10 or more jobs for free, while local businesses can add vacancies as and when they arise, currently free. It is also free for local charities to advertise their vacancies.
There are also CV writing hints, interview tips and other guidance for applicants.
We know our own city, so information on YourJobsboard Exeter will be relevant and up to date. We also know our own industry, and as the site develops we hope to ensure vacancies appear prominently in searches for Exeter related terms, meaning local businesses and recruiters will be able to get details of vacancies out to their target audience quickly and applicants will be able to find them easily.
We’re also making it as easy as possible to spread the word about this exciting new service. You can fill in a form on the site to have email details of YourJobsboard (just one) sent to a friend or share it with Social Media friends and followers at the click of a button.
