Optix offers an excellent range of hosting packages. We understand the need for your website server to be able to deliver a high level of speed and reliability, so we have chosen the servers on which we offer space to meet those requirements.
Our servers are based in Telehouse, London, the fastest network in the UK. Every day they are independently rated against over 300 other ISPs in the country and consistently rank in the top 10%.
Our entry-level package for a simple brochure site starts at GBP 99 + vat p.a. This can be a basic UNIX or Windows solution. We can then provide specifications up to managed dedicated servers. We can support the following coding languages: PHP, ASP, Cold Fusion, as well as MySQL, SQLServer and Access databases.
We provide sufficient bandwidth on our servers each month to address the normal demand for many clients. More sophisticated sites and those which experience particularly heavy traffic may create a high bandwidth demand and we will be pleased to advise you on this aspect if appropriate.
With all our hosting packages we provide email facilities. You automatically get a catchall email address e.g. anyone@optix-web-hosting.co.uk. The number of additional POP emails is negotiable. A POP email enables you to set up separate email addresses for individuals and departments at your company, which they can check and save on chosen workstations.
A link to our Webmail is also provided with each set-up. This is an excellent feature. Working in a similar fashion to Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, i.e. you can log in from any computer connected to the Internet, anywhere in the World, and check your email without deleting it from the server until you return to your base. Ideal, if you are away on business.
